A Client’s Powder Room Refresh
After learning about Maison Michelle and seeing my powder room refresh, an old friend (slash new client) asked me for some help. She lives in an absolutely gorgeous Victorian-style home that she’s been working on over the past few years - everything from big renovations to smaller design projects - and I jumped at the chance to help her style her powder room
A couple months ago, we grabbed lunch at one of Restoration Hardware’s beautiful restaurants, caught up on life, and talked powder rooms. Through discovery questions, I learned more about what would be staying in her bathroom, like her beautiful black and white floor tile and the toilet, and opportunities to “refresh,” like replacing the mirror and light fixtures. She sent a few pictures of the space, as well as inspiration photos, and I’m so happy where we landed with mood board options!
One of my favorite elements that I incorporated into the design options was repeating some circle patterns in the home’s existing Victorian-era woodwork via other visual elements, like the circle designs in the towel ring and toilet paper holder.
Here are some of my favorite styling pieces that I recommended.
